With a total of 20,678 votes counted, the results are finally in and the New Jersey Devils smashed the competition! In the final round, the Devils took 95.9% of the votes or a total of 6,235 votes. Based on the voting criteria laid out at the beginning of the competition, this means that you felt the Devils’ logo has stood the test of time, represents the state of New Jersey well, has a polished look that will intimidate competitors and is something people want to purchase and wear.
Let’s take a look at the competition.
In Round One, we started off with the Sweet Sixteen after narrowing down the bunch ourselves and then asked for your help narrowing it down to the Elite Eight. In this round 6,047 people voted. Here’s what you chose:
Voting really took off for Elite Eight, with fans from all over the country trying to keep their teams in the running.
The Denver Broncos beat the Seattle Seahawks with 52% of the vote.
The Chicago Bulls gained 86% of the vote with the Spurs only getting 14%.
The St. Louis Cardinals won the vote against the Baltimore Orioles with 65%.
The New Jersey Devils took over the vote against the Chicago Blackhawks winning 77% of the vote.
Once down to the Final Four, voting really heated up. With a record number of votes counted, 7,163, we narrowed it down to the top two teams.
The Denver Broncos took down the Chicago Bulls with 54% of the vote.
The New Jersey Devils beat out the St. Louis Cardinals with a shocking 97% of the vote.
In the final round of voting, NJ Devils fans came out in numbers to defeat the Broncos, showing their support for their team and their logo, clearly defining it as the best logo in sports.
